Give Your Bathroom Vanity a Makeover

If you are working to a really tight budget and a new vanity is not an option, you could change the top elements of your vanity depending on the width and depth of your existing vanity cabinet.

CIBO Solid Surface countertops in neutral chalk white are 460mm deep and come in width options of 750, 900, 1200mm with a single tap hole for Mixer Tapware. Pair this with your choice of a CIBO countertop basin for a relatively quick, easy and affordable bathroom facelift.

Countertop Basins

Basins can add colour and texture to your bathroom, providing contrast to the wall tile and vanity benchtop. CIBO countertop basins comfortably fit a 460mm deep benchtop and require a standard 130mm waste cutout.

A few final bathroom renovation ideas

  • Timber veneer finish is a great option for vanities, as the wood look brings warmth to the cold look and feel of tiles.

  • Make a statement with patterned floor tiles and keep the wall tiles simple and elegant.

  • If you’ve got the space, nothing says luxury more than a freestanding tub.

  • Use indoor plants in bathrooms, they love moisture and make the room feel bright and fresh.

  • If you can, recess your mirrored cabinet into the wall above your vanity, turns a standard bathroom into a customised dream

  • It’s important to sit on a toilet you are interested in before you buy it, to make sure it’s the right height and comfort. The same goes with bathtubs, get in and lay down! You want to be able to enjoy a good soak without feeling cramped.

Minimise gaps in your bathroom

When installing your vanity, bath or toilet, try to avoid creating tiny gaps between the item and the wall that won’t fit your hand or arm, as it will be impossible to clean. Small gaps trap dust and water, and might cause bigger issues down the track. Either make sure you leave enough space to get your arm in there or seal all gaps.
